What is Circa Caliente?

Circa means "around that time." For us, it means around YOUR time.

From the producers and hosts of Tiki Caliente, Circa Caliente is a four-day weekender at the historic Caliente Tropics Resort, 411 E Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264.

Same Tiki Caliente spirit, different decades. We're celebrating the eras that actually shaped you, the 1950s through the 1980s, with killer music, art, craft cocktails, and symposiums, plus a heavy pour of Tiki, of course.

If you love Tiki, mid-century style, and the nostalgia of your own childhood, you belong here.

Eekum Bookum (USA) is entering the final stages of production for the official Circa Caliente 2026 Mug.

It has been my personal goal to complete the set of historical figures from the Tropics property before the end of my tenure.

As we approach nearly 20 years of these events, and as custodians of this historic property, we are now working to complete the final three figures by 2028.

It doesn't mean we are done. It simply means we are bookending our goals, just in case.

We aren't as young as we used to be.

Three weeks to go…..

This is your courtesy wake up call, dear Caliente Ohana. It’s time to make your plans to join your friends at this year’s Circa Caliente gathering. For those of you who are just finding out about Circa Caliente, it is our “sister” event to our long-running Tiki Caliente event. Circa Caliente also takes place in Palm Springs at the historic Caliente Tropics motel, and this event is jam-packed with imaginative room parties, fantastic bands, craft cocktails, symposiums, shopping and much more. However, instead of the event theme being mainly about Tiki, Circa Caliente gives all of us the opportunity to revel in the Pop-Culture and Mid-Century worlds that we love. (And, yes, of course there is always a healthy serving of Tiki too, so pack some of your aloha wear!) Since Circa Caliente takes place in October, this also gives us a great excuse to add a bit of spooky monster madness and Octoberfest vibes to our party as well, and this year's returning celebrity Master of Ceremonies, HEINO, (Prost!) is the perfect person to take us there. So, right now, mark your calendars to join us at Circa Caliente this October 1-4. Mark these as “mental health days”, because Circa Caliente truly is THE celebration-vacation before the trifecta of stressful holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve) smack you hard. You know you need this, and you will be entertained.
