Desert Art Center, established in 1950, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to stimulate, educate, and nurture the visual arts in the Coachella Valley through arts education, gallery space for emerging and established artists, and membership programs.

The DAC Family could not be more proud of our talented Ceramicist David Farnsworth. David was 1 of 5 selected international artists for a Residency in prestigious Vallauris, France from this October through the end of November. Vallauris has been central to French Pottery for centuries and a destination for famous artists such as Picasso and Matisse. Mr. Farnsworth will fill the space at the Ernesto Ramirez Designs/Gallery Ernesto Ramirez in Backstreet with his ceramic creations and paintings on September 19th 12-5pm. Please join him for this celebratory “Bon Voyage” exhibition sale. His work will also continue to be available at The Desert Art Center Desert Art Center & Gallery and Silica Studios Silica Studios.

Our annual High School Art Show opens today. This exhibition shares student art from all 6 sxhools in the Palm Springs Unified School District. Students are awarded place ribbons in 8 categories. Please stop by! This weekend only, Terry Masters Gallery, 10-4 each day.

In addition, our main gallery showcases works from local professional artists living in the low and high deserts.
