The Lofts Art Walk – Future Retroism
Palm Springs • The Lofts Art District
Join us for a special edition of the monthly 2nd Thursday Art Walk at The Lofts Art District—an evening of art, conversation, and discovery inside a Richard Harrison–designed building at the foot of Tahquitz Canyon.
Twice a year, participating artists present work around a shared theme. For April, we explore:
“Future Retroism”
The mid-century modern age embraced the emergence of the atomic age with excitement that was fully expressed in bold colors, rich themes, wrapped in optimism. Currently our future is less clear with all the complexities of Ai, smart technology, social media, and other “innovations” creating a future where optimism can be elusive. Future-Retroism re-imagines how we look at tomorrow through embracing the aesthetics and optimism of yesterday.
Experience how each artist interprets this idea—through geometric abstraction, architectural form, experimental media, and beyond—creating a dialogue between past and future across multiple gallery-studios.
Set against the dramatic landscape of Tahquitz Canyon, The Lofts offers a unique opportunity to explore several contemporary galleries in one building while enjoying the early evening desert light at the edge of downtown Palm Springs.
