Can I tell you about my old Sundays?
Saturday was mine. Sunday morning was mine. And then somewhere around 4 o’clock, the light would shift and so would something in my chest. I’d be folding laundry and already sitting in Monday’s meeting in my head.
For years I thought that was just how Sundays went and I always felt cheated.
Here’s what I know now. That tight, heavy feeling has a name. It’s your nervous system getting ready for Monday before Monday arrives. It’s trying to protect you. It just starts the job about 16 hours early.
The good news is your body listens. When you slow your breath down, especially the exhale, you’re telling it there’s no emergency right now.
So this Sunday at 4, sit down, put a hand on your chest, and breathe in for 4 and out for 6. Give it two minutes. That’s it.
And if you want to understand why this works and what else helps, come spend an evening with me at Tune In: A Vagus Nerve Event.
Saturday, November 7, 4 to 7 pm.

You deserve the whole weekend, friend. All of it.
Save this for Sunday. Send it to the friend who texts you “ugh, tomorrow” every week.
