Suncoast Academy of Dance Committed to advancing positive physical and emotional growth through dance education, performance, community service, and enjoyment of the art of dance.

For over 30 years, under the direction of April Joseph-Sykes, Suncoast Academy of Dance has been teaching children from Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs and Safety Harbor, as well as other parts of Pinellas County and Tampa Bay. Our dance studio provides a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to advancing physical and emotional positive growth through dance education, performance, community service, and enjoyment of the art of dance.

Sometimes the best growth happens when we’re willing to step into something new - and Molly embraced that this summer! 💚

Molly spent part of her summer at the USF Dance Intensive, where she had the chance to learn from new teachers, experience different styles, and challenge herself in ways that pushed her outside of her comfort zone.

We love seeing our dancers discover that they’re capable of more than they realized. Molly jumped into each new experience ready to learn, and came away with new knowledge, inspiration, and confidence to carry with her into the studio.

We’re so proud of Molly for being willing to stretch beyond what feels familiar, and we can’t wait to see how those experiences continue to show up in her dancing throughout Season 38! ✨

Last Wednesday, these incredible dancers took their very first steps en pointe - a moment they've worked toward for years through dedication, discipline, and countless hours of training.

Starting pointe is so much more than putting on a new pair of shoes. It's a symbol of the strong foundation they've built and the exciting journey that lies ahead.

Celebrating the past. Looking forward to the future. And grateful for every step in between. ✨

One special night, two beautiful reminders of what Suncoast is all about.

While we celebrated the wedding of one of our incredible alumni and the beautiful chapter she’s beginning, there was also an event welcoming our AIM parents (new and continuing) and looking ahead to a brand-new season.

From the dancers who grew up within these walls to the families just beginning another year of memories with us, we’re reminded that Suncoast has always been about so much more than dance.

It’s about the relationships, the milestones, the people who become family, and getting to be part of so many chapters along the way. ❤️

☀️ Summer Dance Series | Lauren ☀️

Every summer is another opportunity to grow, explore, and invest in your passion - and Lauren did just that.

This summer, Lauren attended the USF Dance Intensive, where she challenged herself in a variety of dance styles and continued to expand her training. She also represented Suncoast at WCDE Nationals, and stepped outside her comfort zone by competing in her very first Tap Cutting Competition!

Watching our dancers embrace new experiences, take risks, and continue learning is one of our favorite parts of the off-season. Every class, every challenge, and every performance helps shape the artist they're becoming.

We are so proud of Lauren for making the most of every opportunity this summer, and we can't wait to see her bring that confidence, versatility, and passion into Season 38! 💚✨
