All aboard! 2,100+ students. 58 classrooms. 3 performances! 🚂💜

Today and tomorrow, McCallum Theatre is hosting “Everybody Get On Board!” featuring Haitian-American artist Inez Barlatier and 5-time Grammy®-nominated children’s musician Justin Roberts as part of our Aesthetic Education Program (AEP). This performance serves as the grand finale for over 1,800 students across three local school districts who have been exploring these vibrant musical traditions in their classrooms with our Teaching Artists prior to attending the performance. Plus, an additional 300 students and teachers will attend by special invitation!

This year, McCallum’s team of Teaching Artists will facilitate just over 1,500 AEP in-class workshops at 28 Valley schools. Upcoming performances include “The Planets” by Backhausdance (touring to schools), Ballet Hispanico, “The Musicians of Bremen, Live!” by Cahoots NI (Northern Ireland), and “Aesop Bops!” by David Gonzalez with pianist Daniel Kelly (touring to schools) – a season full of wonder, discovery, and creative exploration.

A huge THANK YOU to our school partners, generous donors, and sponsors who make our educational outreach possible!
