AIDA's scholarship program creates opportunities that transform lives. Olga Rozin's heartfelt letter illustrates how financial support went beyond a ticket; it was the key to realizing a 15-year dream. From her experiences in various countries to the challenges of balancing family and artistry, Olga exemplifies the resilience of artists. Thank you for supporting the arts and making such dreams possible.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We wanted to share a quick update.

We speak with Aviva, our program director, nearly every day. She is in Tel Aviv in an apartment without a shelter; the nearest one is a few blocks away, which she takes in stride and even calls “good exercise.” Importantly, she is safe. At times, she also stays with her daughter, whose home does have a shelter.

On the AIDA front, all summer scholarship arrangements are fully in place with Pilchuck, Penland, Haystack, and Corning. In the event that any students are unable to attend due to the situation in Israel, each program has generously agreed to roll tuition forward to next year.

We are thinking of everyone affected by this war and hoping for calm and safety for all in the days ahead.

Warmly,
Dale & Doug

Today we celebrate a truly special milestone — Dorothy Saxe’s 100th birthday.

From AIDA’s very first day, Dorothy and her husband George believed in the mission and supported it with generosity and heart. That early faith means more than words can express. Dorothy, we are deeply grateful for you and honored to celebrate a century of a life marked by kindness, commitment, and impact. Wishing you a birthday filled with love and joy.

As we mourn the tragic events in Bondi Beach, the themes of Chanukah feel especially resonant—reminding us of our responsibility to bring light, conscience, and humanity into a fractured world.

Values & Ethics—Through a Jewish Lens draws on Jewish wisdom to explore these moments in family discussions, transforming tradition into meaningful ethical guidance for today.
