As a part of the 10th anniversary of 9-11 I was asked to contribute to a New York photograph commemoration project . My photos were published in a book commemorating 9/11 - as the day in the life of an American on 9-11.

I am Proud to be apart of such an incredible opportunity, but that will never take away my sorrows for what have happened .

Losing people you grew up with in this world event - is the swinging pendulum, of how big life is and how small it is. It showed me the dichotomy on the week I started college , to be a journalist.

This is what I wrote when submitting my photographs:

"Greetings.
In my quest to document how I, and many New Yorkers felt upon the 10th anniversary I was at a loss of how to document how my heart felt when I couldn't keep my eyes dry long enough to focus my lens.
I decided that my role as a photographer and especially as a portrait and wedding photographer was forever changed by these missing family members.
I built a frame with lights to symbolize the family members who remain missing from our current lives.
I took it around my town and photographed it through the night to show life does go on, even in the dark. You just have to always look for the light
I hope you enjoy my submission.
