My current WIP doesn’t have a Halloween theme, but it does have a Halloween touch to it! 🐈 👻 starting the Loddon sweater. Pattern by using merino in pale grey and silk mohair in soft blue. I shortened the neck a little (I am a human version of the petite queen (Tink)). Thanks for the glow in the dark ghosties!!

This post is very overdue!! Again, life has been hectic and busy and I haven't had the chance to post on my public page.

I completed this doily last year, but did not have the chance to post a picture of the completed and blocked doily. Pictured is the Tavra doily from Grace Fearon, designer using Artiste Egyptian crochet cotton thread in the salmon colorway. Tink the Tuxedo Cat was very interested in this doily. :)

Back to knitting! 🧶 I started this cowl 3 years ago 🫣 was cleaning out my bins, and found it in my project bag and decided to pick it back up to continue stitching. 😁 I’m using Dyakcraft interchangeable chestnut wood needles in US size 8 with Brooklyn Tweed Ranch 01 in tannin + iron colorway. Pattern is the Free for All Cowl by Jen Peck on Ravelry.

Midnight and I have heavy hearts with Asheville and all the other parts of the southeastern United States that have been affected by Hurricane Helene. 😢 I live in Tampa Bay, but inland so we were spared most of the impact. However, others on the barrier islands of St Pete and Clearwater and our neighbors to the north were not as lucky.

I visited Asheville 3 years ago. We were only supposed to visit the Smokies for a few days, but ironically, got stuck in Asheville because of a Hurricane hitting Florida (Hurricane Elsa) so we had to stay a few extra days before we could drive back. Everyone we met in Asheville was so welcoming and friendly, and it has an amazing amount of small unique businesses (arts and crafts, breweries, restaurants, niche stores). We stayed in Biltmore Village and spent many days by the River. I enjoyed my visit there. Unfortunately a lot of the awesome places I visited were flooded up to the roofs and I know it will be hard to recover.

I just donated money to the American Red Cross. If you are financially able, please consider donating to a reputable nonprofit organization, and I left a link below on how you can help (also as a reminder, GoFundMe is NOT legitimate nor tax deductible for U.S. tax returns).

If you are unable to at this time, please at least share this post or share your experiences visiting these areas that rely on tourism to bring awareness. :)

Hi everyone! 👋

It’s been a while since my last update! I’m sorry for neglecting this page 😢 life has been hectic per usual so let’s get into what I’ve been up to in the meantime.

-I moved for a new job two years ago, during my last update. And then I quit 🙃 and started working at a new place at the beginning of this year! I love it so far 🙂

-last year, I walked into petsmart and saw a tuxedo cat being held like a baby. It reminded me of Meow-Meow (if you’ve followed me for a while, meow meow was an important part of my life). Yes, I adopted this beautiful fur baby, her name is Tink (short for Tinkerbell) and she’s a retired mama from Tampa Bay. Every night we have a routine we do together and I get to hold her like a baby and she enjoys it! She’s one of the best things that have happened to me. I’m a cat grandma now!

-I gave up most of my hobbies to focus on ceramics for a while. I don’t think I’m as good as ceramics as I am with fiber arts, but it was my first art activity I ever enjoyed and is nostalgic for me.

- however, something sparked in me last month and I picked up my steel crochet hook again!!! I’ve made three doilies so far this month and started making amigurumi cherries. Hopefully the doilies get blocked because there’s so many beautiful doilies I’ve made the past few years that I haven’t blocked and therefore they’re too shy to be shown on social media!! But I do plan on blocking at least one of them this week, so stay tuned!

That’s all for now, hope you all are doing well! 🥰

Kiwi bird friends! 🥝 🐦 Recently, I’ve rediscovered ceramics through . It’s been 7 years since I last touched clay (when I was in college). Usually I go back to ceramics when I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress. It has helped a lot and hopefully I will have more creatures to share soon. My speciality in clay is handbuilding and plaster mold making cartoon animals, but I’ve been really wanting to improve my wheel skills. Was always scared of the wheel but now I think I’m finally getting comfortable with it. These kiwi birds were 1 1/2 lb balls of Standard Clay brown clay with grog thrown on the wheel with hand built features and details.

I’ve been in Honolulu, Hawaii for a week and haven’t posted on Instagram at all. I rarely post pictures of myself so here it is. 🙃 Definitely have enjoyed my time here, and maybe I’ll live here permanently(!) Got to try some more Hawaiian food today. It looks like if Caribbean food and Asian food melded together. Love the squid luau, short ribs, and ahi tuna.
