✨ What a day of sparkle, shine, and soul-filling celebration!
Yesterday, wrapped up our "Shimmering Educator" workshop, and the energy was absolutely electric. We traded the school bell for disco beats and spent three hours turning the "fractured" moments of the educator’s year into a dazzling display of light.
Here’s how we glowed:
🧘 Disco Yoga & Sadhana: We kicked things off with an energetic yoga flow set to a disco beat! We focused on finding our drishti (focal point) while moving through heart-opening Star Poses and Radiant Warriors. To ground our practice, we each set a powerful sadhana (intention):
"I will celebrate..." 💖
🌈 Reflecting in Color: We leaned into the disco ball metaphor—realizing that our daily tasks and "shards" of difficult moments are what ultimately catch the light of our passion. We identified our favorite "shimmer moments" from the past year and translated those celebrations into a unique color palette for our art.
🎨 Disco Ball Artistry: Then, it was time to paint! We mapped out our year using a curved grid of latitude and longitude lines. Using a mix of darks, mid-tones, and light-reflecting highlights, we filled our "tiles" with color and even tucked "shimmer words" into the layers. We finished them off with some extra sparkle adding sequins, gems and glitter.
🍩 Joy & Refreshment: Between the painting and the high-energy "Sparkle" playlist, we fueled our creativity with doughnuts and shared plenty of laughs. There’s nothing like a sugary treat and a shared "cheers" to make you feel completely refreshed and joyful!
