Registration is open for the next Petals + Paper Retreat. 🌸
I’ve been thinking a lot about the first one.
A few people came in saying some version of, “I’m not good at this,” or “I can’t draw,” or “I don’t know what I’m doing.”
And I loved when I saw the “shift” happen. It was quick for some, slower for others.
They realized this was not about painting or drawing realistically. This was not a masterpiece for an outcome. That this was about connecting with themselves and with others. That they had permission to let their inner child play!
You do not need to know what you’re doing.
You do not need to draw a straight line.
In fact, we are going to draw weird lines, loose shapes, messy flowers, wobbly marks, and probably laugh at ourselves a little.
By the end, the table looked amazing.
Everyone seemed a little lighter. A little more connected. A little more tapped into that creative part of themselves that can get buried under regular life.
That’s why I’m doing it again.
The next Petals + Paper Retreat is:
Saturday, September 12
10am–1pm
at my home in Palatine
Regular seat: $97
Early seat rate: $87 through Sunday
All materials, refreshments, drinks, a sundae bar, and a curated take-home gift bag are included.
