Our mission is to provide a welcoming shop that supports learning and community, one that is filled with unique fibers, yarns and tools for knitters, weavers, spinners and other fiber enthusiasts We bring in local and uniquely hand-dyed and handspun yarns, beautifully made tools and responsibly raised fibers. We are home to FiberObsessions hand-dyed, handspun and handwoven products! We carry a lar

ge and varied selection of weaving, knitting and crochet yarns, along with a wide selection of spinning and felting fibers, including loads of hand dyed fibers! In addition to carrying yarns in skeins and hanks, we offer a broad selection of coned yarns and threads from cottons and linens to wool/silk blends for weavers. Check out our spinning wheels and weaving looms, too! We are a dealer for Schacht, Louet, LeClerc, Kromski, Glimakra, Ashford , KCL and the list continues to grow. I’m excited to say that, after nearly a year of up’s and down’s and up’s, the sale of our property is closing on Thursday and we’ll be off onto new adventures in North Carolina.

So sorry for the few and far between updates over the past months. We just haven’t had much to share. But I’ll be getting back at it soon.

I’ll be making changes in the fall to this page and our website to reflect the weaving, spinning and dyeing things that will reflect where I’ll be putting my energies now.

And so it goes. I was expecting this to be a really fast weave, given the fat yarns and the lovely tensioned warp, but not so much 🤨. First reason it’s slow is because I need to use stick and rag shuttles that will fit more weft. But the second reason is that the friction of those shuttles through that stretchy, gripy warp means it won’t glide through all the way, so I have to coax it along each time. There’s always something new to experience with weaving!

Our Story

Welcome to Yarnorama!, the best knitting, weaving and spinning supplies store in Texas! That’s why we’re known as “A Playground for the Fiber Obsessed”. We're well stocked with yarns, fibers, weaving looms and spinning wheels! We teach classes and we have our own line of hand-dyed yarns and fibers, FiberObsessions, that are vibrant and captivating.

Can't make it in? Much of what we have in store in now online and we do our best to bring you the feel and experience as much as we can. In addition to all the yarns, fibers, kits, books and more, you'll find handcrafted spindles, shuttles, hand-dyed fibers and yarns, handspun yarns, handwoven wearables and pieces for your home.

We are a Preferred Louet Dealer and, also, carry the full line of Schacht, Kromski and LeClerc products, too. We have looms, wheels and many tools like warping boards and mills set up in the shop to test drive. And we have classes!
