A customer from Gibson Law Group stopped by to drop off a computer for a memory upgrade after AI tools became a bigger part of her daily workflow.

There was a little confusion when she arrived because she thought she had spoken with someone at the shop earlier. What she didn't know was that I had already let my team leave early to get a jump start on the weekend.

She looked around the shop and couldn't believe I was the only one there.

After 23 years in business, I've learned that keeping great technicians isn't just about pay, it's about quality of life. If the work is caught up and customers are taken care of, sometimes the best thing you can do is give your team a few extra hours with their families.

The upgrade was already planned, the parts were ready, and everything would still be completed by the next day as promised.

Happy employees. Happy customers. That's the goal.

Not every visit to the repair shop is about fixing hardware.

In this video, a customer stopped by to pick up her laptop after a data transfer service. We successfully transferred her files to the flash drives she provided and reviewed everything with her during pickup.

While she was here, she asked about a Nook and a wireless mouse. After thinking about it for a moment, she realized they were probably still at home. We answered her questions, confirmed her data transfer was complete, and let her know we'd be happy to help if she couldn't locate the mouse later.

Moments like these are a reminder that customer service is just as important as the repair itself. Taking the time to listen, explain, and help customers feel comfortable is part of what we do every day.

This PS5 Repair Sounds Like Bad Advice...

This PlayStation 5 came into the shop with severe graphical artifacting, moving boxes, and display glitches across the screen. At first glance, the HDMI port looked perfect. No bent pins, no physical damage, and nothing obvious pointing to the cause.

After digging deeper, we found evidence of excessive heat around the APU and memory area. The strange part?

The repair involved adding MORE heat.

Sounds like terrible advice, right?

In this video I walk through the diagnosis, teardown, inspection, repair process, and final testing to see if we could bring this console back to life.
