Awesome!

This is a 4 foot fiberglass sphere with hand cut stained glass mosaic by Sue Smith Glass. It took 2 of them 4 months to complete this project. Sue Smith is in Devon, UK.

I combined fusing and standard stained glass here. I fused the center leaf portion and then framed it with streaky glass and zinc channel.

Experimenting w/what happens to glass in various forms does when it stretches to the mold, especially drop molds. This piece has fish to see what the shape will become. Frits to see how far they separate. Decals to see just what they do because I don't think they can stretch much. This will be slumped through an 11" round drop mold to end up w/a 2 1/2" bowl.

Experimenting w/how the glass stretches when you mold it, especially w/decals and other details. This piece will be very interesting to see what he decals do as the glass stretches to create a 2 1/2" deep bowl. Not sure if it will even survive!
