For 55 years this has been my favorite piece of music. Thinking that the composer never heard it is a horrible injustice. It remained as the manuscript and was never performed during J. S. Bach's lifetime. For me, The Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, 2 Adagio is one of humanity's great achievements. I have never heard a more perfect piece of music. This performance by The Academy of Ancient Music with Richard Eggar conducting is the most impressive I've ever heard. And I heard them recording it. One of the greatest moments of my life was to hear all 6 Brandenburg Concertos in the same evening.
