Ecstatic Dance Monterey Bay Ecstatic Dance Monterey Bay is an ecstatic dance serving the greater Monterey Bay area. A space to dance, with or without partners, in a welcoming environment.

Every Friday night for over 14 years Dance Jam has offered an exclusive dance experience for those who love to dance. Dance Jam is the ecstatic dance of the Monterey area. It offers a rich and diverse opportunity to dance, to play, to express, to connect, to relax, or to just be. The music is inspired by the DJ of the week, with a range of rhythms, tempos, and beats to move you! Live music is offe

red every few months. First-time is free (except for special events). Dance Jam is your opportunity to connect with other free-spirited dancers of the Monterey area. Wear comfortable clothes, be prepared to dance without shoes, bring plenty of water, and get ready for a fabulous workout. We support play! So bring your play toys --hula hoops and poi are welcome. Like Us and we will keep you posted of special events and upcoming schedule. Dance Jam is offered by the City of Pacific Grove Parks and Recreation Department. As such, the dance night is alcohol and drug free. All ages are welcome! Dance Jam Happens Every Friday Night

Dearest Beloved Dance Community,

I am excited to announce that I will be cooking at the upcoming campout and offering 3 vegetarian meals with vegan and gluten-free options for purchase. While the garden will dictate the details, I am committed to offering hot, nourishing dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday made with organic home-grown love.

Please bring a plate, bowl, and silverware as well as cash for each meal you plan to purchase. The cost of each meal will be $12. If you are interested in partaking in any of the meals, please email me ([email protected]) to support our planning. We will also offer some grab and go foods (such as organic, non-GMO salads, smoothies, and chai). Prices will vary on the grab and go foods.

👉🏼The following Saturday, August 14, we will the skipping dance in the park in order to join and support this fabulous community diversity training (In person or online) with Reverend Deborah Johnson, and to encourage others to do the same. It’s free but you’ll need to register:

Today, Saturday, 6 / 12, we will dance from 2 PM-4 PM outside!! ❤️
😋👉🏼 Feel free to bring a PICNIC for afterwards, to hang out, socialize and enjoy the after-dance-yumminess!
👉🏼 please note: Daniel has purchased an additional 50 new headsets to accommodate the growing number of dancers at these outdoor dances and to replace broken and lost headsets (unfortunately, it happens). In order to make this sustainable, Daniel requests $10 per headset for his dances. Thanks for understanding and for helping to make it possible to keep this wonderful resource going for all of us. 🙏🏽

Mondays & Thursdays: 5 pm - Sunset
Saturdays: 2pm to 4pm

Daniel will once again host 3x weekly outdoor dist-dances at Ocean View Park (using silent disco headphones that he provides) as follows:
* Mondays 5 pm to sunset
* Thursdays 5 pm to sunset
* Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm

Outdoor dist-dances are compliant with shelter in place variances for outdoor group exercise and will be offered at least through all of January and February...weather permitting! If it's raining, we won't dance. Go to the homepage of Daniel’s website to see if the dance is cancelled.
