2027 Dowling Museum/Ann Rudd Art Center Exhibition Schedule, Subject to Change

10/14/2026

We hope you can join us for an Open Reception for the Walter Black-Surface Tension show, Sunday, October 18, 3-5pm.

Walter Black, a potter and sculptor from Troy AL, presents a solo exhibition of works that explore the passage of time, the transformation of materials, and the enduring power of simple forms. The exhibition has a distinctly archaeological atmosphere, as though visitors have entered a museum devoted to the remnants of a civilization whose history has yet to be deciphered.

The HeArt Program at Vivian B. Adam’s School gives individuals a welcoming place to explore their creativity and share their talents. Through painting and other art projects, participants practice skills, build confidence, and express themselves in their own way. Their artwork is displayed at VBAS and in the community, giving others a chance to celebrate each artist and the possibilities they bring to life.
