Meet the teacher!!! So excited to have her teaching classes with us this year!!
I started dancing at the Springfield Civic Ballet (which later became the Springfield Ballet) at the age of five. At the age of six, I began studying with Breb Walker at Walker's School of Dance. Mr Walker had performed on the Vaudeville circuit, appearing with Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire. Sadly, Mr walker passed and I was fortunate enough to continue taking lessons from his daughter Joyce Roberts.
I studied at Drury University majoring in Theatrical Arts where I learned Tap, Jazz, and Broadway style dance. Under Mrs Roberts tutelage, I earned Dancer of the year two years in a row. I went on to earn scholarships at Alvin Alley and studied ballroom dancing at both Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray studio's.
I Love teaching Tap, Lyrical, Partnering, Salsa, Tango, Waltz, Ballet and Wedding Choreography. I especially love Praise and Worship Dance!
I am excited to become part of the Ozark Dance Academy.
