Adult Acting Drop-In with Adam Silorey

Have you ever wondered what actually happens in an acting class? Maybe your child comes home talking about rehearsals, or you’ve secretly thought, “I wonder if I could do that?”

Now’s your chance.

Join Artistic Director Adam Silorey for a fun, welcoming 90-minute introduction to the foundations of acting. This is not about memorizing lines or performing scenes. Instead, you’ll explore the same techniques our actors use to build confidence, imagination, and authentic performances.

Living Truthfully Under Imaginary Circumstances
Experience the foundation of truthful acting through introductory Meisner-inspired exercises that strengthen listening, focus, and genuine connection.

Trusting Your Instincts
Learn how following your natural impulses creates honest, believable performances.

Creating Character Through Movement
Explore Rudolf Laban’s movement principles to discover how physical choices can completely transform a character.

5 incredible weeks. 80+ campers. 🎭

On Friday, we wrapped up the ATO summer camp program of 2026, we’re filled with gratitude for every young performer who stepped onto our stage with courage, creativity, and imagination. From the first warm-up to the final bows, we’ve watched friendships grow, confidence shine, and stories come to life. Each week we welcomed a new group who were tasked with putting on an entire production in only one week!

Thank you to our amazing campers, families, counselors, and staff for making this summer so special. Your energy, passion, and enthusiasm made every week one to remember.

Campers, we can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you next—and we hope to welcome you back on stage soon!

Alice in Wonderland (Grades 3–8)
Step down the rabbit hole in this imaginative fall production filled with unforgettable characters, friendship, and theatrical magic.

How to Train Your Dragon (Grades 3–12)
Featuring separate casts for Grades 3–6 and Grades 7–12, this epic adventure brings dragons, heroes, and one of the most exciting new musical scores to our stage.

Pro Topics: Middle School Acting Club
For students ready to take their acting to the next level! Throughout the spring, young performers will explore professional acting techniques before selecting and producing a show of their own choosing as the culminating production of the season.
