Miami University Symphony Orchestra

Miami University Symphony Orchestra Our mission is to engage with audiences by performing an expanding repertoire that pushes the boundaries of the symphonic experience.

The MIAMI UNIVERSITY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA is one of the most traditional musical organizations on Miami University's campus. All musicians are selected through audition and the repertoire spans over all the eras of symphonic music, from Baroque until today. Members of the faculty coach the various sections on a regular basis, helping the ensemble achieve an individual sound and homogeneous performan

ce style. The University Symphony Orchestra is governed by an elected board of directors, which participates in most of the decision making process. It deals with marketing, public relations, personnel issues, organization of events, special concerts and international tours. Interested in joining MUSO? Auditions occur the first week of the semester, both Fall and Spring semesters.
