We are excited to share some outstanding news about one of our incoming freshmen, Sam Hardjono!

Sam has been honored with the Spirit of the Marquee Award, becoming only the second recipient in the history of the CAPA Marquee Awards to receive this prestigious distinction.

Presented by the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), the CAPA Marquee Awards celebrate excellence in high school musical theater across Central Ohio. The Spirit of the Marquee Award is a rare special recognition that honors individuals who embody the dedication, passion, leadership, and spirit that define the CAPA Marquee community.

Throughout his time at Orange High School, Sam earned recognition as a CAPA Marquee semifinalist for his standout performances in The SpongeBob Musical, Sweeney Todd, and Mean Girls. Beyond his accomplishments on stage, he has been celebrated for his professionalism, leadership, kindness, dedication, and consistently positive attitude.

We are incredibly proud of Sam for this remarkable achievement and look forward to the talent, leadership, and enthusiasm he will bring to our freshman class.

Congratulations, Sam, on this well-deserved honor!

Celebrating music, community, and our incredible students!

The Miami University Department of Music was proud to be represented at the first anniversary celebration of Cincinnati Public Radio at their beautiful new facility.

As part of this special event, was invited to perform, and students Kaiya Bensing and Aurora Henry-Jones took the stage, sharing their artistry with the Cincinnati community. Opportunities like this highlight the impact of live performance and the importance of connecting music-making beyond the classroom.
