🎬 What if your Bar Mitzvah happened at 31?

In 31 Candles, a Jewish filmmaker known for making Christmas movies decides it's finally time to have the Bar Mitzvah he never had. What follows is a funny, heartfelt journey filled with family, exes, situationships, self-discovery, and a second chance at impressing his childhood camp crush.

Inspired by the real-life experiences of filmmaker Jonah Feingold, this charming rom-com explores love, identity, and the fact that sometimes growing up takes a little longer than expected.

Watch the trailer, then join us for this special screening as part of the William & Irene Weinberg Family Baltimore Jewish Film Festival.

Some stories make you laugh. Some make you think. The best ones stay with you long after the night is over.

Join The Stoop Storytelling Series for an evening of true stories about refusing to shrink, claiming identity, and living out loud. Unapologetic brings together storytellers who chose honesty over expectations, courage over comfort, and authenticity over fitting in.

Presented in partnership with Bolton Street Synagogue, J Pride Baltimore, and the Q***r Jewish Arts Festival, this special event celebrates the many facets of who we are and the stories that connect us.

With musical guest Flowerbomb.

🎭 Meet some of the incredible staff behind Summer Arts Camp at J Camps!

From building confidence and creativity to creating a strong sense of community, our directors and arts educators are passionate about helping campers grow both on and off the stage.

In our newest blog, we asked three members of our Arts Camp team what they’re most excited about this summer, what makes theatre camp so special, and the one word they’d use to describe the experience.

✨ Spoiler alert: “Joyful,” “Exhilarating,” and “Community” all made the list.

Theatre offers such a wide range of skills that can be applied to any area of life. Actors develop emotional understanding, public speaking skills, and most of all, theatre teaches kids how to be comfortable in their own skin and show up as their authentic selves.

She arrived to start over. Then the rumors began.

In Hebrew, “Soda” means “secret”—and in this story, nothing stays hidden for long.

When a beautiful seamstress arrives in a 1950s Israeli neighborhood of Holocaust survivors—centered around a soda bottling plant—her presence stirs curiosity, then suspicion. As a romance begins to grow, whispers about her past spread, raising questions no one can answer and forcing a community to confront what it means to judge, to forgive, and to survive.

Directed by Erez Tadmor and starring Lior Raz and Rotem Sela.

Presented in conjunction with Beth Israel Congregation’s Rachel V. Glaser Film Festival, with a special reception in her memory featuring live music and Mediterranean snacks by Yesh Hummus & Grill.
