Poseidon, god of the sea, storms, and earthquakes, was one of the most powerful figures in Greek mythology. Known for his fierce temper and unstoppable strength, he ruled the oceans with his legendary trident. Sailors both feared and honored him, knowing the sea could be calm one moment and unforgiving the next. Poseidon represents power, depth, unpredictability, and the raw force of nature. 🌊🔱

I am setting a new boundary within my business:

Moving forward, I will no longer take on tattoo corrections or cover repairs unless I am correcting an issue with my own work—which is extremely rare.

Within the past week alone, I have had more than five people message me while price-shopping between artists. This is not the first time, and I know it will not be the last. However, a large percentage of those individuals later return after their tattoos have healed asking me to correct the work. Two people this past week contacted me with fresh tattoos completed by other local, less-experienced artists and wanted me to fix them.

Respectfully, choosing another artist based solely on a lower price and then expecting an experienced artist to repair the outcome can feel dismissive of the time, education, skill, and professional investment that go into quality tattooing.

Cheaper is not always better.

My pricing reflects my years of experience, the quality and consistency of my work, continued education, and the professional-grade equipment and materials I use. I invest in reputable cartridges, inks, and supplies developed specifically for professional tattoo artists—not unverified products, imitation supplies, or equipment purchased from questionable sources.

Before choosing an artist, please take the time to review their portfolio. Look closely at healed work—not only fresh tattoos. Pay attention to line quality, saturation, consistency, composition, and long-term results.

If you have a specific budget, please communicate that with me first. I am always willing to have an honest conversation about size, placement, detail, and what may realistically work within your budget.

Please also pay attention to the safety and professionalism of the person performing your service. Tattoo artists should carefully inspect their needle groupings before use, including checking them under magnification and proper lighting. I have terminated employees due to lack of knowledge and stubbornness of not wanting to take constructive criticism due to the above example including lack of knowledge and understanding of cross contamination.

For piercings, a professional piercing should be performed using a sterile, single-use hollow needle. If someone attempts to pierce you using an inappropriate tool or technique, you have every right to get up and leave. (I do not offer piercings but I can always recommend who I would let pierce me)

There is science, education, technique, safety, and responsibility behind tattooing and body piercing. These are not hobbies—they are professions.

Body art is an investment in your appearance and your body. Hair grows back. Many cosmetic changes can be altered. A tattoo is permanent, and correcting poor-quality work is often more difficult, more expensive, and sometimes not fully possible.

I am sharing this because I genuinely care about the safety of my community and the quality of the work people carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Please research your artist, review healed work, ask questions, and choose carefully.

Thank you all who have continuously supported me throughout my career.

Loud Women of Daviess County are currently looking for vendors...and there's no vendor fee! If you're a maker, artist, nonprofit, or small business, this could be a wonderful opportunity.
If you're looking for a fun community event, we encourage you to check it out and show your support! ❤️
Please note... This event is independently organized by Loud Women of Daviess County and is not an Owensboro Blue Bridge Pride event. We're simply happy to help spread the word about other organizations working to build community !

Difficult upbringing? That's acceptable. You can recall it in the most endearing manner. Tattooed by Crystal Dawn (we aren't sure why this client requested this custom piece), some clients leave out the origin story behind their permanent markings, but all art is meant to make you feel, and we instantly thought of how in our adolescence years can unfortunately be rough, which is never a child's fault, but it doesn't break us. Just some of us have a little more stitching we have to do as an adult... or he just got it because it's cute, or it could be his favorite animal, or even be one of his adorable daughters' favorite stuffies. I'd like to know what this makes you feel?
What tattoo would you get to represent those innocent years of wonder and magic? Please comment below, because each and everyone of you inspire me. 💗

As Pride Month comes to a close, let this be your reminder that celebrating your authentic self should never be limited to just one month. 🌈

You deserve to take up space, live boldly, love freely, and honor every part of who you are all year long.

And what better way to celebrate that truth than with a forever tattoo—something meaningful, personal, and completely yours.

At Cry Later Tattoo Studio, every body, every identity, and every story is welcome. Always. 🖤

Happy final day of Pride Month. Keep showing up as yourself, loudly and unapologetically.

can also make this a little more emotional, more promotional, or more bold and cheeky.
