It’s become custom to wish people a “happy Memorial Day.” However Memorial Day was set aside to be a day of remembrance. To reflect on those who gave their life for our freedom. To honor and respect their sacrifice. So don’t forget to take time to be grateful for the freedoms you have, honor and cherish this great nation and give back in a way that would make them proud. Remember them.

What a great group of people. Lucky to have them in our valley.

Over the past four months, the Moapa Valley Fire District Wildland Division has been training in preparation for the upcoming wildland fire season. Today, we completed the required PACK Test which marks the completion of our training.

The Moapa Valley Fire District Wildland Division has now completed all the required training and are now available to deploy to wildland fires throughout the nation.
