Meet Ms. Sandra! 🤩
“My journey in the performing arts began at the age of seven in Philadelphia at Freedom Theatre. There, I trained in both theater and dance, which sparked an equal passion for each discipline. Over the years, I was given many opportunities to grow and refine my skills in both areas.
During my time at Freedom Theatre, I participated in Walter Allen’s production of Cooley High. This experience introduced me at a young age to the three
“C’s”: commitment, collaboration, and confidence - values that have remained foundational in my artistic and personal development.
As I continued my training, I chose to focus more deeply on dance, developing skills in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. Training alongside dancers of all shapes and sizes was incredibly empowering. My instructors encouraged us to embrace our individual strengths while working together as a unified team. That balance of individuality and collaboration is something that has stayed with me and continues to influence every aspect of my life.
As an instructor, my goal goes beyond teaching dance technique. I strive to cultivate confidence, teamwork, self-esteem, respect, and creativity in my students-skills that will support them both inside and outside the studio.”
Her supportive teaching style and dedication to helping each dancer grow make her a wonderful part of the In Step Dance Productions family!
