But really we are all just wandering around looking for good friends and to be seen and heard.

I recently attended a retreat where we had to practice hugging and saying these words — over and over again.

I love you.
I see you.
I hear you.

A few months ago, I traded a real bag for a little vintage suitcase tattoo. It was good timing. My hope is that this next era is all about packing light and doing some cool sh*it.
Okay. Cooler sh*t. I just left a job that I loved before I didn’t love it anymore. I just signed a lease on a therapy office space of my own. I saw my first Medicaid clients last week which made my heart swell. I love interesting work and have never felt so inspired by people and their stories. And their hurt. And the beauty of this complicated life. .

I let these words swim in my brain all week.

The world feels so complicated. And loud. And fractured.
And somehow… I feel strangely peaceful inside it.
Julian makes me feel a little less strange.

All shall be well.
