London is calling, and this is your last chance to answer! 🇬🇧🎭

⭐️ Applications for the JCCC London Theatre Experience are due this Sunday, October 4, 2026!

Travel to London May 17-26, 2027 with Theatre Professors Aubrey Urban and Scott Cox for an unforgettable trip filled with West End productions, theatre tours, museum visits, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Royal Shakespeare Company and more.

The estimated program fee includes airfare, accommodations and planned theatre experiences. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due October 18.

Meet the Directors 🎭

Now that Romeo & Juliet has officially closed, we’re looking back at the people who helped bring this world to life from day one to the final curtain.

Meet Professor Scott Cox, Director, and Georgia Wallace, Assistant Director. Together, they shaped our 1933 Appalachian Verona and guided the cast through the entire process, from the first rehearsal to closing night.

Meet the Cast: The Townsfolk! 💙💛

For our final Meet the Cast post, we’re introducing the people caught right in the middle of the Montague and Capulet feud. Verona is full of characters trying to keep the peace, tell the story, offer some advice, or simply survive the chaos happening around them.

From Sheriff Escalus and Paris to Pastor Laurence, the Apothecary, and our Chorus Minstrels, these are the people who help make our little corner of 1933 Appalachia feel like a real community.

One last time in Verona. 💙💛

Today is the final performance of JCCC Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet. After two weekends of packed houses, laughter, music, heartbreak, and a whole lot of love, it’s hard to believe we’re already saying goodbye.

To everyone who came out and spent part of their weekend with us, thank you! And a huge thank you to our cast, crew, designers, faculty, staff, and students who put so much time and heart into making this show happen. We couldn’t have done it without you.

If you haven’t made it to Verona yet, this is your last chance!

🎟️ Admission is FREE, but you must have a ticket to enter. Tickets are available starting at 12:30 p.m. at the House Management table near the MTC entrance by the production photo hallway. Tickets are one per person and cannot be reserved in advance. Once you have your ticket, your seat is secured for the performance!

🕧 Tickets available: 12:30 p.m.
🚪 Doors open: 1:30 p.m.
🎭 Final performance: 2:00 p.m.

Seating is limited, and once all tickets are gone, we are officially at capacity, so we recommend arriving early!

Meet the family on the other side of the feud! In our 1933 Appalachian setting, the Capulets are a prosperous family with deep roots in the community. Supported by a successful logging business, they’re known around town for their social standing and acclaimed barn dances. They may be a little more well-to-do than their Montague neighbors, but an old family grudge means there’s never too much peace in Verona.

We’re heading back to the Capulet masquerade today for TWO chances to see Romeo & Juliet. Come for the dancing, live folk music, the moment Romeo and Juliet find each other across a room full of people they definitely shouldn’t be falling in love around.

Our final weekend of Romeo & Juliet kicks off TONIGHT at 7:30 p.m.! After selling out most of our shows last weekend, we’re so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown our cast and crew.

The 3rd Annual New Works Initiative is back, and auditions are right around the corner!

Join us for Radical!, an original play written by Ethan Krugjohn and directed by Erdin Schultz-Bever.

✍️ About the show: The planet gets hotter every year, Al might make us all unemployed, fascism is on the rise, and it feels like no one except James cares. Then he meets Rodina. She is a woman of action, and suddenly it seems like it might be worth sticking around. But do individuals really have the power to make the world better? What happens when our feeling of helplessness becomes overwhelming?
📚This timely play asks: How can a sensitive person survive in a world where so much is falling apart?
