Here’s where it all began 💛 My first of many trips to Lake Carlos in Minnesota—where my family spent every Fourth of July and celebrated my birthday each summer. Pictured here: my Grandma Betty, me, and my cousins Jade and Nicole.

As I got older, my parents would drop me off for weeks at a time, and I’d always come home with the best memories (and more mosquito bites than I could count).

P.S. If you know Grandma Betty… keep this our little secret—it’s her birthday present! 🎁

While this series will mostly feature large-scale portraits, I also wanted to include a few smaller paintings inspired by my old childhood photos. There’s something special about revisiting those memories — sun-bleached colors, grainy film, carefree summers. I’m hoping my own little slice of ‘90s nostalgia sparks something familiar for you too. What do you think?

I finished another painting for my “At the Lake” series! I tried to capture the quiet contemplation of someone surrounded by loud fireworks and family. A moment of peace among the chaos of the Fourth of July.

The end of a lake day is the best. Sunburned, tired, smelling like sunscreen, way too full from burgers and potato salad—and even fuller from time with family and friends. Or is it just me?

Wow! Had an absolutely amazing turnout for my opening for “Out with Friends”!

Thank you to all the 300+ people who showed up! And a special thank you to all my friends, family, and painting subjects who made the evening so memorable.

The show is up for the rest of the month, so you still have a chance to see it if you missed it on Friday! The show in the main gallery is amazing as well and also a must-see: “Confronted with the Gaze of Another.”

Save the date for my solo show, “Out with Friends” at the Kansas City Artists Coalition! This series of portraits explores friendship and the distances that still separate us in this post-pandemic world. I have been working on this series for over a year and am so excited to share it with you!

See you there!

If you know me, you know I love a good self portrait. I like to think I’m just the right amount of vain. 💁🏼‍♀️

So far, my “Out with Friends” series has shown portraits of my friends from my point of view. All the portraits have been based on snapshots I took.

So I thought it would be fitting to include one portrait of myself, that shows me for the sneaky little incognito vo**ur that I am ☺️.

I hope you enjoy. Shout out to for snapping this pic of me at our favorite bar, . Swipe for more pics (of the painting and Humphrey).

And don’t forget to come to my next solo show at on August 1st! 5pm!

“Gossiping with the Girls.” Because what’s a night out without some tea??

I struggled with this one a little bit compositionally, maybe because this is the first time in a while that I’ve done a landscape/horizontal format. However, I’m really happy with the glass textures and the moody/witchy color scheme!

Have you saved the date for my show yet? Mark your calendar for the evening of August 1st at !
