Kansas City joins other United States cities in its celebration of National Dance Week! Dancers of all ages, disciplines, and levels join together to present an afternoon of free dance performances for the public. We are celebrating the joy of dance together, from studios to university programs to professional companies to independent choreographers, performing many genres of dance including balle
t, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, lyrical, Irish Step, swing, classical Indian, Egyptian, belly dance, and more. Emerging pre-professional choreographers are also given an opportunity to participate in this give-back performance for the community. In addition to free entry and participation, we are collecting art supplies (crayons, markers, colored pencils, watercolor paint sets, or sketch books) to give back to area low-income students for the 2023 Holidays with Arts Inspired Network's PROJECT 51 Initiative, "Every Child Deserves to be Inspired in the Arts".
