We have been working on this painting for several weeks now😅😁. Everything except the eye balls and outline were painted by Sampson’s tongue. To say this has been a process 🤔is an understatement. Cutting out stencils and trying to make sure they line up and don’t move while in process of Sampson licking it..ugh. Black paint is one of my worst colors as it seems to leak before I’m ready for Sampson to do his job. This was sooo much fun!😁 Enjoy!
I forgot , I gave up on outlining everything after several attempts on copies so I wouldn’t ruin the paintings!

I feel like the truck went better.
A few things I’ve figured out along the way
1) use puréed dog food and not coconut oil. The oil is to light and the dog food is a heavier consistency.
2) make sure there isn’t any extra air in the baggie.
3) don’t try to take a picture when Sampson is painting unless I have help. I need both hands to keep the baggie as flat as possible. Otherwise it slides around too much and the paint mixes more.

So… after yesterday’s painting not working like I wanted it to.. I decided to try a trick I saw on Facebook. (I’m not sure whose idea this was originally) baking soda, Elmer’s glue and water. Hope this works! I’ll update soon😁 I sure hope the stencils line up right after this part dries.🤓

I thought I would try something new today with Sampson. I traced the stencil then outlined it with hot glue. I thought it would look cool with a texture, It was ok until the middle of the sunflower( too many tiny bumps) and then the baggie slipped with the bee.. that darn bee!🤓
