After eight years on Madison Street, Open Space Art Gallery & Studios is expanding to a new location while remaining at its current location as well.

Well that’s a wrap for Summer Art Camp 2026 and what an amazing week it was!! We all learned so many new techniques and just had the best time making art!! I want to give a huge thank you to Miss Pat and Miss Rileigh for all their help with all the projects and for just being the best to work with. Seeing all the kids burst with pride today is always the best ending to such a fun week.

Textile art

Today we made needle felted monsters!!
Everyone did an amazing job respecting the tools and the creativity and focus was so fun to watch! This week always flies by but how fun it was creating with the littles all week long.

Tomorrow we get to celebrate all the amazing work made this week! Reception is 3-4pm

Today we embroidered photographs and these kids blew me away with how amazing they all did!!

Tomorrow is our last day and we are making needle felted monsters!

Today we made squishys!! And then we made mini replicas of our squishys!

Painting

We learned to découpage and then added our favorite animals. We also learned about atmospheric perspective and the special layers that create depth!

Tomorrow is Clay, we will be making squishy’s! We have a few tickets left for morning and afternoon sessions.

Art Camp Project Inspiration!!

Monday: Painting - we will learn how to decoupage with tissue paper an then paint farm animals on top!

Tuesday: Clay - we will be making squishys!

Wednesday: Sculpture - we will create the most magical garden mirrors from tinfoil

Thursday: Photo Collage - we will learn how to embroider of photographs

Friday: Textile Art - we will be needle felting monsters!

Summer Kids Art Camp starts next week!!

Each day of the week will be a different class, take one or all of them! Morning Session will be 9am-11am. Afternoon Session will be 1-3pm. On Saturday we will put the art made from all of the classes on display in the gallery and hold an opening reception from 3pm-4pm so the public can see what we made all week! Ages 5-12.
