It may still be warm outside, but we’re already looking forward to Christmas at the OMA!

Grammy Award-winning artist Suzy Bogguss is bringing her Swingin’ Little Christmas Tour to Ottawa on Saturday, December 5.

Backed by a full band, Suzy will fill the OMA with holiday classics, her spirited original “Two-Step ’Round the Christmas Tree” and some of the signature songs fans have loved throughout her career.

This Sunday we begin our "Learn To Play Mah Jong" Series! This is THE game taking over the country right now! Come learn to play with our instructor and by the end of the 4 weeks feel confident in playing on your own. You do NOT need to bring Mah Jong tiles with you! We'll provide everything you need PLUS a snack and refreshments.

The Auditorium reopened its doors on October 8, 1978 after an extensive $680,000 renovation. The OMA is a community hub for live music, theatre and dance productions, meeting space and rental options. The Ottawa Memorial Auditorium has a 35 foot proscenium stage and seats 830 guests.

Have you been wanting to learn Mah Jong? Now is the perfect time!

The Friends of the OMA are hosting a four-week Mah Jong series that's designed for both beginners and experienced players. Whether you've never played before or you're looking for a welcoming place to enjoy the game, this series has something for everyone.

The series begins Sunday, August 9, with a two-hour instructional class where you'll learn everything you need to get started. The following week features guided play with the instructor, followed by two weeks of open play with instructor support available to answer questions and help build your confidence.

Registration is available for the full four-week series, and experienced players can also register for the open play sessions on August 23 and August 30.

Mah Jong tiles and light refreshments will be provided.
