The response to Big Ideas Academy has been so encouraging, and we realized we should probably tell you a little more about WHY we’re doing this. 💛
We may be small business owners now, but we all have backgrounds in education and love working with children and adults in classrooms and workshops.
The idea for Big Ideas Academy actually grew from our recent Kidpreneur Market. The kiddos were so excited to share what they had created, and our community showed up BIG to support them. We knew there was something special there.
Kelley naturally fell into the role of curriculum writer and facilitator for the Academy. She earned her doctorate researching curriculum development and recently retired from a career in education. Our kids call her “Dr. Nanny” — and we happen to love that name for her. 😊
We believe some of the most important lessons don't come from a textbook, and that's the idea behind these fun, interactive sessions.
How do I work with someone who thinks differently? What do I do when my first idea doesn't work? How do I solve a problem and have the confidence to share my ideas?
That's the ❤️ behind Big Ideas Academy.
Yes, they'll learn about entrepreneurship. But even more, we hope these kids discover just how much they're capable of.
Dr. Nanny is excited to launch this pilot and share the curriculum she's created with our first group of young entrepreneurs.
And the rest of us can't wait to see what they come up with. 💡
