I want to be real with you guys for a minute.

Most of you already know I haven’t been baking full-time for a while now, and I’ve been trying to keep it going here and there… but after this last order, I have to be honest with myself.

I spent 19 hours on one order this past weekend… and made $105.

That’s not sustainable. Not with the cost of ingredients, not with the time it takes, and not with everything else I have going on in life right now.

I love baking. I love creating for you guys. But at some point, passion can’t come at the expense of my time, energy, and ability to actually make a living.

So for now, I’m stepping back from baking.

I will still be doing balloons 🎈 and keeping this page open for requests. I may take on select cake orders if I’m able to, but it will be very limited.

Thank you to everyone who has supported “Bakked by Lys” — seriously, it has meant everything to me 🤍

This isn’t goodbye forever… just me being realistic.
