Three Pork Hill

Three Pork Hill Revitalizing traditions of arts, education, advocacy & celebration in a historic space, formerly kno History:
Located at #3 Pork Hill Rd.

in Water Village, Ossipee, N.H., the Ossipee Mt. Grange Hall was built by George O’ Bean in 1904. The first-floor originally served as a general store, where locals could purchase eggs, a newspaper, milk, and other early century staples. Meanwhile, the second two floors where owned and operated separately by the Ossipee Mt. Grange Association, a local chapter of the National Grange of the Patrons

of Husbandry. Like most Grange Halls speckled throughout the country, the Ossipee Mt. Grange Hall was not exclusively used as an agricultural fraternity, but rather took on many roles as a community hub for social, economic, and political activity. The Brothers and Sisters of the Ossipee Mt. Grange remained active until approximately 1950 when the second-floor was sold to Gerald and Martha McDuffee who had been operating an antique store on the first-floor.

Early August- extra special harvest of our garlic abundance while growing a human. Late August- prepping said garlic with one very content baby wrapped to my chest. Our little one has arrived, and we are truly in awe of this life and it’s magic!

From woods walks, to forging and harvesting- connecting to nature is helping to feel the beauty of the slower pace in these postpartum days. And slowing down feels so right! Community events will be on pause this fall as we soak up this sacred time as a family.

While our little cutie pie won’t be making any appearances on social media- by name or photo- we look forward to seeing many of you in person!

A JOY-full evening with Maggie Carson and The Horse-Eyed Men in house concert, and a pre-house concert feast making pizzas all together to cook up in the outdoor wood fired oven on loan from True Brick Ovens.

Thank you to Rob Waterman Photography for capturing some of the magic of the evening, to the incredibly talented musicians, to everyone who joined who is part of making this such amazing community, and to True Brick Ovens for the portable loan of the wood fired oven!
