Thank you to everyone who joined us for a Heartful Yoga session with Dani Locastro. Dani led us in a mindful meditative yoga practice at the tranquil edge of the Hudson River. We are so grateful for Dani and Johnny G the DJ for kindly donating their time and resources to put on this event.
Thank you everyone for coming out Sunday for our Family Fun Day to celebrate us nearing completion on our Dashing for Dylan Challenge! We had a lovely day at Crawford Park in Rye Brook, celebrating with our sponsors, vendors, participants, and volunteers! We've managed to raise nearly $70k and walk over 4500 miles! There's still time to help us reach our goal and make an impact in the lives of families experiencing crisis! Donate today!

Time for something new! Thursday we're going to turn Spring Street into Bicycle Way!
This Thursday (July 22nd) from 4:30pm-6:30pm Spring Street will be CLOSED to motor vehicles from Broad Avenue to Lafayette Avenue. It will be OPEN to bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other types of recreation. We're about half way through summer break so lets get outside and have a little fun.
We're partnering with Ossining Union Free School District, we'll have music from Johnny G the DJ and hot dogs from the Ossining Elks Lodge 1486. There is no plan to make this competitive eating so stop asking! Also, no word yet on whether Dr. Sanchez plans to challenge the chief to a bike race (Sanchez would get his butt kicked in a bike race).
As always this event is completely free and open to all. We want to see you there! Come hang out with us, get some fresh air, and ride some bikes. Look for more posts on fun add-ons throughout the week.
Now the hard stuff - we know there are a lot of people who live along this street. Many of them are families who we expect will be joining us. Some people won't participate and that's ok. We know it's a minor inconvenience to not be able to get to your driveway. This event is only 2 hours and everyone should be able to get within about a block of their home. Live on Spring between James and Williams Streets? You can park on James from Edward Street or from State Street. No big deal.
We'll post more about this over the next couple of days but for now get your tires pumped up, your helmets on right, and ready to ride!
Preview the Rye Farmers Market via the link. We'll host Coffee With a Cop, when you can sip coffee and eat pastries from the farmers market while catching up with representatives from the City of Rye Police Department, 10am-12pm. Johnny G the DJ will spin some tunes and we will have visits from Anthi's Greek Food, Baked With Love by Abigail and SallyeAnder. It's going to be your last chance to shop with Luxx Chocolat xquisite artisan chocolate at the market this season. Get ready for Thanksgiving with chocolate turkeys, dulce de leche infused with local bourbon, two kinds of Hot Choxx drinking chocolate, CocoStar Marshmallaws and much more. Don't forget that Mangalitsa by Mosefund is taking orders for heritage breed hams. Order this week and pick up next week!
Sunday at the Rye Farmers Market, we will have tunes by Johnny G the DJ and SHRED Fitness will be at our Community Table. Newgate Farms is harvesting kale, cabbage and grape and cherry tomatoes and Nahmias Et Fils Distillery will visit with Westchester made Mahia and whiskey. Baked With Love by Abigail will bring small batch breads and cookies. *Please Note* the summer food scrap recycling drop off program at the farmers market has ended. Program participants can drop off 24/7 at the DPW, 141 Oakland Beach Ave.
