So last week I received notice that myself and the rest of the folks witb small businesses in our building were essentially being gentrified out. This has been my home for 4 years this May and I have watched the development in the area and assumed I’d be priced out of my shop eventually but the abrupt notice of termination caught me off guard. It was deeply upsetting as we’d spent the better part of my recovery this winter reorganizing the shop so I could have a better work flow and now all of that work was simply time and money wasted. I’ve shed many tears over this and I’ve contemplated how to share this info as it pertains to further disruptions of my work and this is unfortunately all I’ve got at the moment as I have no wish to cry on a livestream. I will be focused on finishing the wonderful pieces I have planned for at the end of next month and then we will be moving as much of the shop contents back to my house as possible. The next 3 months are going to be slightly crazy and to be entirely honest I’m not sure when I willl be able to add anything to the website 🤷♀️ Depending on when I get everything situated I may be pushed into solely focusing on getting my collection together for Bewitching Peddlers in September. I will share updates with you all as I get things sorted and more details ironed out. This has been my home, my happy place, my retreat and I will deeply miss my shop but the universe is ending this chapter for Vagabond Spun. Let’s s see what’s next shall we. I appreciate all of you deeply and thank you for your grace and patience 🖤🫶🏻
