On Friday and Saturday September 8 and9, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will feature a special program of Joni Mitchell music, arranged by pianist Monika Herzig, interpreting Joni’s songs in a jazz infused format. Joining Monika will be the renowned vocalist and local favorite Alexis Cole and an outstanding band. This engagement, following an international tour of the program, will be performed in a cabaret setting at WCT’s home, 23 Water Street in Ossining.

Tonight is the night! Meet Lori Myers, the executive producer of "That's Not All She Wrote II."

Loris is an award-winning writer of creative nonfiction, fiction, and plays. She recently directed Evelyn Mertens' play "Moments of Lucidity" for WCT's Living Arts Event and penned several past WCT shows. Her play "Civil Disobedience" was performed via Zoom by Axial Theatre. She is Drama/Nonfiction Editor for Masque & Spectacle, an online literary journal, and a member of the Dramatists Guild and of Honor Roll!.

About the production, Lori said, "The talented female writers have created remarkable and surprising pieces that fulfill the given criteria (for the Bechdel Test), allowing for an examination of the human condition. Audiences can anticipate an extraordinary and unique experience as these voices scold, plead, explode - and so much more!"

Meet Mel Nocera! Mel is the director of "That's Not All She Wrote II" who has been working with our team of 7 female playwrights to create a salon-style setting that flows with ease as our playwrights perform and share their work.

Mel recently directed Evelyn Mertens’ play "That Way" for the Glass Ceiling Breakers III festival; Julie Griffin’s play "Weighting for Mr. Right" at WCT; and last year’s production of "That's (Not) All She Wrote."

Mel has directed one-acts by several of the writers involved in this production--Lori Myers, Linda Delaney, Evelyn Mertens, Loretta Oleck, Kimberly Mallory, Serena Norr and Barbara Dana--in the WCT productions Parking Lot Plays 1 & 2; the 2022 New Voices Festival; Diners, Dives and Dreamers; and Covid Diaries.

Meet Serena Norr, one of the performers/playwrights of "That's (Not) All She Wrote II."

Serena is a writer, playwright, and founder of Let’s Make a Play, a playwriting program for kids and adults. Her plays have been performed at the Omaha Fringe Festival, White Plains Performing Arts Center, the Tank, the New Deal Creative Arts Center, WCT, the Rogue Theater Festival, the NYC Short Play Festival, the University of Alabama, and various Zoom productions.

For the festival, she will be presenting, "Filled", a monologue featuring Rae who desperately wants to be filled by spending her days stealing from 99 cents stores and her nights online shopping and an excerpt from "Hunger" about Cybil, a teenager, tries to repress her hunger as Lulu, a model from her magazine, learns how to fill her own.

Meet Loretta Oleck who will be showcasing her play, "Mother Tree" in "That's (Not) All She Wrote II."

"Mother Tree" is about two sisters, one an idealist and one a pragmatist, who engage in a passionate debate weaving past challenges with present and future ideals all while in a perilous surrounding.

Loretta's work has been a finalist in the Henley Rose Playwright Competition for Women, a semi-finalist in the Garry Marshall Theater New Works Festival, and included in The NYC 's International Human Rights Arts Festival.

Evelyn's plays and short film have been produced through WCT, Axial Theatre, Glass Ceiling Breakers, the Aery and Ariane Festivals, and Irvington Arts Incubator. She is a member of Honor Roll! and the Dramatists Guild.

Bette is an actor, director, and playwright whose plays have been produced/read in NYC's Estrogenius Festival, NJ Rep., George Street Playhouse and The McCarter Theatre, among others.
