My name is Cory Casey, and I started tattooing while serving time in a Missouri prison at the end of 2016. What began as a hustle quickly turned into a passion after a fellow artist saw some skull drawings I had done and gave me the opportunity to tattoo him. That experience changed everything for me.

Since then, tattooing has become my purpose and the path I chose to change my life. It gave me something positive to focus on and a way to leave behind the choices that caused problems for me and my family. I’m dedicated to becoming the best artist I can be by learning, growing, and challenging myself with every piece I create.

My background is in prison-style tattooing, but since my release I’ve continued developing my skills with modern rotary machines and have been tattooing professionally on the outside for about a year. I take pride in creating quality work that keeps clients coming back and trusting me with their ideas.

I specialize in black and grey tattoos, including skulls, flames, snakes, filigree, chains, clocks, lettering, brickwork, chain-link fencing, prison-inspired designs, horror and wicked themes, clowns, fine line work, flowers, animals, and memorial tattoos. No matter the design, I welcome the challenge and am committed to giving every client a tattoo they can be proud of.

My name is Tyler Eidson, and I was born and raised in Ottumwa, Iowa. Tattooing isn’t just my profession—it’s part of my family’s legacy.

I grew up surrounded by artists at Chuck’s A-1 Tattoos in Ottumwa, where my mother, Sam Denham, built a reputation over more than 20 years as a talented and respected tattoo artist. From the time I was six years old, I watched her create artwork that changed people’s lives. Later, she opened In the Flesh Tattoo in Oskaloosa, a shop that proudly served the community for over a decade before closing during the COVID era.

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I spent my childhood drawing, learning, and soaking up everything I could about tattooing. Growing up around the shop gave me a deep appreciation not only for the craft itself but for the responsibility that comes with putting permanent artwork on someone’s body.

Life wasn’t always easy. I struggled growing up, spent time in juvenile facilities, and faced challenges as an adult trying to find work that truly gave me purpose. Through it all, tattooing remained the one thing that always felt like home. It became more than a career—it became a way to build a better future, provide for myself, and give something meaningful back to my community.

Today, opening Passion Ink is the realization of a lifelong dream. It’s an honor to continue my family’s tradition while building something that reflects my own vision. Our goal is to provide a clean, professional, and welcoming environment where everyone—regardless of their background—feels comfortable and respected.

I enjoy every style of tattooing and believe every project is an opportunity to grow as an artist. Whether it’s fine line, realism, traditional, black and grey, color, cover-ups, or custom work, I approach every tattoo with the same dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Like any growing business, we’ve faced criticism and rumors. Rather than letting that define us, we’ve stayed focused on what matters most: treating people with respect, creating artwork we’re proud to stand behind, and serving our community with integrity. Our family’s history in tattooing has taught us resilience, and we’re proud to continue that legacy here on the Oskaloosa square.
