Come for the drama. Leave with plenty to talk about.

A transporting story that makes you forget your phone and whisks you away to Venice, performed by world-class actors you'd otherwise need a passport to see.

📣 “What a treat to attend something locally that I felt I should only be able to experience in England.”

—2025 GDA attendee of The Lord Chamberlain's Men's 'Twelfth Night'

📣 “I thought I only had a TikTok attention span!”

—High schooler during intermission at the 'Twelfth Night' school show for 300+ area high schoolers

If that sounds good to you, we hope you'll join us for The Lord Chamberlain's Men's performance of 'Othello' on Monday, October 12, at 7 PM.

Two outsiders. One great love.
And a world determined to tear them apart.

It's okay if, like Jake Peralta, your favorite Iago is the parrot from Aladdin. In fact, that might mean Othello is exactly your kind of night out.

If you love The Lion King, you've already got a pretty good start on Hamlet (and Henry IV).

Shakespeare and Disney have more in common than you might think: populist entertainers on the leading edge of their respective entertainment mediums, who took history and fairy tales and made them their own.

So if you love Disney movies, you might find Shakespeare right up your alley.

Tell us in the comments what Shakespeare/Disney connections we missed!

And come see Othello live with The Lord Chamberlain's Men—complete with Elizabethan music, dance, costumes, swordplay, and one very bad friend who is NOT a parrot.
