Many thanks to our pals from Appleton Rock School for asking us to join them on the WAMI Youth Stage for Children's Fest Day!

Guess what?! 😲 The Brigade Music & Tech crew will be playing Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, in Milwaukee tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Children’s Fest Day, and ALL patrons get in free for the whole day if they show up between 12-3pm! The Brigade crew will be playing on the US Cellular Stage for about half an hour, sometime between 12:30-2:30pm.

If you're in the area or looking for a fun day trip, bring your family and friends to Summerfest to come cheer on our young musicians!

WHAT WE DO.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS (In Person, and Online)

If you want to learn a new instrument, brush up on your current skills, or develop further as a musician, we would love to help you. The KSSOM system breaks down the mysteries of music theory, opens up new worlds of improvisation and composition, shows you how to get real results from your study and practice, pushes you personally, and teaches you…to teach yourself.

We offer private lessons in person with Kurt (depending on availability), and his incredible crew of assistant teachers/mentors. Instruction is available on almost every instrument, voice, theory, recording/tech, and more!

We now are able to do online lessons as well for those who do not live locally, or have hectic schedules, and would like to take advantage of the KSSOM methods.

ENSEMBLES AND CLASSES

Making music alone is fun, but to really learn how to play and understand its intricacies, you need to do it with other people. Those skills are not easy to learn on your own. KSSOM ensembles are the perfect place to practice, experiment and further hone your new skills and knowledge. To fully benefit from our methods, we can’t reccommend this experience enough. Playing as a band with with peers is also a great way to make more musical friends!

Ensembles classes are open to students who are not currently taking private lessons with KSSOM as well. We offer many options and times, for varying skill levels, instruments, ages, and interests.

The current ensembles are: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Jazz, String, and Adult.

We also run specialty classes throughout the year on: theory, history, technology, recording, songwriting, composition, entrepenurship and more!

PERFORMANCES, CLINICS, AND COLLABORATIONS

At KSSOM we are all about collaboration, community, and putting our musical and entertainment skills to work!

PERFORMANCES- We love getting our groups out in the community to play for all types of events. We are available for everything from private parties, events, restaurant/club gigs, and more!

CLINICS- Kurt and the crew are available to do all types of clinics and demos, featuring all types of subjects. Whether it be working with a school band, a demonstration for a club, an educational lecture, or a team building session for your company, we can custom tailor the session to your needs.

COLLABORATIONS: We are honored and thankful to be part of the Fox Valley community of Wisconsin and to have worked with such great schools, organizations, and clubs over the years. Do you have an idea about how KSSOM might be able to team up on a class, project, event, or grant? Hit us up!
