Meet the Cast of
“The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery.”
A familiar face in Osceola, but new to our stage, is Kendra Gustafson. Kendra’s acting career had a less-than-auspicious beginning. In ninth grade she set the stage on fire! Throughout high school, she was in many shows, with two additional performances on the stage while a teacher at Cross County, one a roller skating waitress. She has lived in Osceola for 30 years with husband Mark. They have five children and three grandchildren. While there is no fire in this show (thank goodness), we are glad Kendra joined us. She brings so much to her role. I'm sure you will enjoy her performance!

Meet the Cast of
“The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery.”
Dave Rinehart is another newcomer to our Osceola Community Players. Dave comes to us through friends who thought he would be a good fit for our shows. Dave graduated from York High School and York College. He worked in radio for 30 years, at stations in York, Alliance, North Platte, and Columbus. He has done everything from operations and program manager to D.J. to sports director. Doing play-by-play of basketball, football, and baseball games was his favorite. Don’t let him fool you! He has stage experience at Bradshaw High School during his junior year. He was in a class of twenty, so everyone was forced to try out for the play, and somehow he ended up playing the father in “Cheaper by the Dozen.” Dave has an amazing voice, and it is evident in her performance for us. He has a great sense of humor, and we feel fortunate he is sharing his talents with us.

Meet the Cast of
“The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery.”
Another newcomer to our little troupe is Wanda Doerr. Wanda moved to Osceola 35 years ago with her school-teacher husband Phil, and their two children. Daughter Rebecca lives in Australia with her husband and three children. Son Ryan has two daughters and lives in West Virginia. Wanda was on stage prior to this show when she was in high school. She played a dead person (!) and had to be carried around from place to place. If that sounds familiar, in our show, Wanda plays Inspector Fuller, who ends up dead. She is not carried around on stage, but she does remain on stage with an arrow in her chest! After last year’s show, Wanda expressed interest in being with us this year. Thankfully, she remembered she said that and joined up! We have had so much fun with Wanda. She is funny on stage and in real life. I’m sure audiences will enjoy her performance.
