September 1st is here! The Tri-State Shop Hop has come to an end and another successful one is in the books. A big thank you to all of you who stopped in to see us and some maybe for the first time. If you were not able to join us or you weren't able to visit all three of the shops, now is your chance to be able to purchase what you are missing. You can purchase the entire project or just one or two parts. We met a lot of new people this year and we're already planning for the next one, so mark next year's shop hop on your calendar now and maybe plan a road trip to come see all of us. It will again be during the months of June, July and August of 2027. We're already stitching next year's design and you won't be disappointed. See you then!

Have you looked at our website lately? New items have been added, including the new Mill Hill kits. Which is your favorite? It’a hard to choose, but I think Mrs. Claus is very cute, but so are the little forest animals!

Have you seen the new designs from Needle & Moss? All three are so pretty and definitely show off the autumn colors. The shaped pumpkin is gorgeous, and don’t miss the little squirrels collecting acorns on the biscornu! These new designs are coming out during the Needlework Marketplace and are on our website now for pre-order.

The Needlework Marketplace 2026 is quickly coming up, Aug 21 - 24. This is a virtual market for shops and vendors to connect. The Stitchery Nook is participating, and new items are being added to the website for pre-order. If you have been seeing new items already, what is your favorite??

August 2027 - 12, 13, 14 - We are pleased to announce Theresa Venette will be joining us for 2 days. This retreat will be held at the CRC Event Center in Osage, IA. The cost of this retreat is $450 plus a 5% processing fee if paying online. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to pay by check or cash.

If you are registering via mail with a check please include your full name, phone number, email address and fabric count. (18 aida or 36 linen)

Osage is located towards the top of Iowa in the middle of the state. Our small town has a active main street. Be sure to check out our shops. Our store will be open during this event with hours of 9:30-6:00.

Rooms are available at the AmericInn. Their number is 641-832-2200. Please mention us for your reduced rate.

Here are some main points.

Lunch meals will be catered in on Friday and Saturday. This lunch consists of boxed lunches with a ham or turkey sandwich. If you are gluten free please let us know so we can make accomodations for you.

Light snacks and a boxed lunch will be furnished for your convenience. (Feel free to bring snacks to share with your table partners.)

If you are registering via mail with a check please include your full name, phone number, email address and fabric count. (18 aida or 36 linen)

A deposit of $250 is due at registration. This deposit is non-refundable but you may transfer to someone else. The remainder is due no later than June 1, 2027.

Thursday - check in anytime after 2:00 pm at the CRC Event Center

8:00 pm Event Center closes for the night

Friday - 9:00 am - Event Center opens for stitching

12 :00 pm - Box Lunch from S&S locker

1:30 pm - Theresa will speak

8:00 pm - Event Center closes for the night

Saturday - 9:00 am - Event Center opens for stitching

12:00 pm - Box Lunch from S&S locker

1:30 pm - Theresa will speak

7:00 pm Event Center closes for the night

Attendees will receive a full kit from Theresa with linen or aida and threads. There will also be an additional exclusive kit you may purchase from her.

The Event fee ($450) includes access to the stitching venue, boxed lunches on Friday and Satruday (catered by S&S Locker) and the above mentioned kit. Deposit of $250 is due at the time of registration with the remainder due on June 1st, 2027. You will receive an email reminder with a link to complete your balance when the date is closer.

Happy July! We are busy here with the summer shop hop. As I have had several people call and ask - Here are our hours for the 4th of July weekend.

Thursday - 9:30 - 5:00
Friday - 9:30 - 5:00
Saturday - Closed

The Tri-State Shop Hop has officially begun. Cathy from Hands on Design will be here on Saturday, June 6th from 10:30 am - 1:00 pm and will be bringing a trunk show with her with some of her models and patterns including her new designs. Stop in to say “hi”, ask questions, visit and grab our part of the free design for the shop hop.

FYI You will be able to purchase the complete chart of Red White & Blue from our website in September when the shop hop is over.
