We’re going for GOLD this September.

Here’s why it matters.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Avalynn’s Hope, it’s the most important month of our year.
Every day this month we’ll introduce you to the families we walk beside, share the real story of childhood cancer, and show you exactly how our community shows up for medically fragile kids and their families right here in Northern California.
Gold is the color of childhood cancer awareness. When you see us sharing it, and lighting things up this month, that’s us saying to every family in the fight: you are not alone.
Follow along all September. Stop in at one of our local supporting businesses and let’s turn awareness into real hope for real families.

🎉 Celebrating Juneteenth: Honoring the Journey to Freedom 🙌🏽

As we commemorate Juneteenth, let's dive into its remarkable history, a pivotal moment in the pursuit of equality and justice. 🗽✊🏾

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, marks the June 19, 1865 announcement in Galveston, Texas, when enslaved African Americans finally received news of their liberation, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. 📜✨

This day holds profound significance, symbolizing resilience, emancipation, and the strength of community. It reminds us of the countless individuals who fought tirelessly for freedom, justice, and the end of slavery. 🌍🌱

Juneteenth celebrates the determination and perseverance of African Americans in their pursuit of liberty. It serves as a reminder that true freedom is a collective effort, reminding us to stand united against all forms of oppression. 💪🏿💛

This historic milestone also encourages reflection on the progress we've made and the work that lies ahead. It's an opportunity to educate ourselves, engage in meaningful conversations, and continue advocating for racial equality and social justice. 📚🌍
