Here’s part two of my new Critter Collection! Most of these colorways I have exclusively on sock weight for now, but I do have some worsted weight and sparkle DK mixed in with this half of the collection

The color of the stellina in the Feral Pigeon colorway is this really pretty iridescent that’s so hard to capture on camera. And of course I had to include a pigeon colorway

Also, for all you bird nerds! I dyed up the Barred Owl colorway using a couple reference photos of their warmer season colors, so it’s appropriate for the time of year, but should I do a winter edition later on?

Introducing an exclusive new yarn base, Mermaid Hair!

This is as locally made as possible. The mohair comes from 3 yearling angora goats that had and was spun into this beautifully shiny lace weight at . It’s a take on kidsilk but made with seacell instead, a type of cellulose fiber integrated with seaweed material

I’ll have all 6 introductory colorways available first at this weekend; Beach Rose, Gutweed, High Tide Water, Live Lobster, Common Periwinkle, and Pink Granite

Introducing the first three of six colorways in my new Critter Collection! Think of it as an extension of last year’s Upta Camp Collection, as well as tiny bit of my Ephemeral Light Collection

This was definitely inspired by my long running series on my stories where I share a count of all the animals I see driving around late at night chasing the aurora and stargazing. However, most of the ones I see out at night are similar shades of brown, if I even see them. I *hear* a lot more than I spot. There’ll be one unexpected guest in the mix, plus more that are general critters of the Maine woods. Hopefully you’ll see the rest by Thursday!

Everyone tell happy birthday! We dipped our toes into maple tapping this year and were pretty successful for our first attempt! Yiassou was, of course, extremely helpful as well. I bottled up the last of the syrup about a month ago, and it took me this long to get around to sharing this ahaha. I’ve gotten up to other things in the off season but that’s for a different day

Went to my friend Peggy’s today for sheep and alpaca shearing! Didn’t get home in time to put together all the videos I took during the process, but here’s some honeybees enjoying the wood squill on her property in the late afternoon sun
