Scrapped by Michaela is a modern scrapbooking company that converts your sentimental odds and ends into custom collage artwork to commemorate important events, experiences, occasions, and trips. My name is Michaela and I have a tendency to collect small, seemingly meaningless momentos during trips and events—ticket stubs, pamphlets, the paper napkin ring from that one restaurant, a piece of confetti from that concert, etc. Upon unearthing some of these gems recently, I realized many people likely have these haphazard collections of sentimental scraps that are hidden away and forgotten. What if instead of stashing them away in a box—where they’re doomed to lose their meaning—we displayed them proudly in a work of art? That’s where I come in. Mixed media is one of my absolute favorite art forms, particularly collaging, which naturally compliments my impulsive collector habits. While some may see a receipt or room key as trash, I see these materials as precious supplies for a meaningful masterpiece. You never know what scrap you picked up along the way will become one of your most cherished memories. So, I’ve combined my passion for collaging with my inclination to save small scraps of life events to bring you Scrapped by Michaela, a modern scrapbooking company that converts your sentimental odds and ends into custom collage artwork to commemorate important events, experiences, and trips. My hope is that by displaying these momentos as a custom piece of art, you’ll get to experience the joy of reminiscing more frequently.
