ti from that concert, etc. Upon unearthing some of these gems recently, I realized many people likely have these haphazard collections of sentimental scraps that are hidden away and forgotten. What if instead of stashing them away in a box—where they’re doomed to lose their meaning—we displayed them proudly in a work of art? That’s where I come in. Mixed media is one of my absolute favorite art forms, particularly collaging, which naturally compliments my impulsive collector habits. While some may see a receipt or room key as trash, I see these materials as precious supplies for a meaningful masterpiece. You never know what scrap you picked up along the way will become one of your most cherished memories.
