Introducing Sam Vokey — now featured in “Luminaries” ✨

For more than 25 years, Sam Vokey has built a remarkable career rooted in craftsmanship, tradition, and atmosphere. An elected member of the Guild of Boston Artists and recognized as a Copley Master by the Copley Society of Art, his work reflects decades of dedication to the classical foundations of painting.

Trained at the prestigious R.H. Ives Gammell Atelier in Boston — an intensive European-style program accepting only five students at a time — Vokey mastered the disciplines of still life, landscape, portrait, and figurative painting through close study with a master painter.

Deeply connected to the Boston School tradition, his paintings balance realism with the softness and luminosity of impressionism. Through thoughtful composition and an extraordinary sensitivity to light and shadow, Vokey’s landscapes invite viewers into moments of quiet beauty and timeless calm.

We are honored to present his work as part of Luminaries, on view through June 2nd. ✨

“Luminaries” ✨
On view now through June 2

Step into a world where light does more than illuminate—it transforms. “Luminaries” brings together paintings that capture the extraordinary power of light: how it softens, sharpens, reveals, and conceals.

From quiet, diffused radiance to bold brilliance, these works invite you to pause and feel the interplay of glow and shadow.

Experience the beauty of light, reimagined. Stop by Tuesday-Saturday 10-5:30pm to experience this beautiful show in person!

Rick Fleury’s minimalist, contemporary style of landscape is widely associated with Cape Cod and coastal New England, with growing recognition nationally and internationally. He has used his work as a platform to speak on the issues of conservation, preservation and environmental awareness.

The artist was honored with a solo exhibition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in 2006. He was later included in An Exhibition from the Permanent Collection at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and in recent invitational exhibitions at the Cahoon Museum of American Art, The Cotuit Center for the Arts, The Harvard Club of Boston, the Boston International Fine Art Show, Art & Design 20/21, Boston, and the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival.

He is an Artist Member of Boston’s Copley Society of Art, the oldest art association in the United States. His work has been selected for numerous juried and invitational exhibitions with Copley, and a near-sellout solo exhibition in 2008.

His work is in the permanent collections of the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston, and other corporate and private collections worldwide. He teaches at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum School, Creative Arts Center, Chatham, the Copley Society of Art, Boston, and at his studio.
