If you have been picturing a garden ceremony tucked into Downtown Orlando, getting ready inside the historic house, dinner surrounded by old-world details, and a wedding day that can unfold across the property without feeling like everyone is constantly on the move, this is a good time to come see it for yourself.

We always recommend touring before making a decision, especially if you are planning further out. It gives you a chance to walk the gardens, see the rooms in person, talk through how the day can flow, and start imagining what the house could look like with your own people in it.

Florida gives us a much longer growing season than a lot of places, so even when certain flowers are not blooming, the gardens still have that lush, established look couples love. The trees, greenery and layered landscaping keep the property feeling full throughout the year, and then each season adds its own little changes on top of that.

It means a winter wedding does not suddenly lose the garden feel, and a summer wedding gets all of that greenery at its fullest.

The inside of Dr. Phillips House has a completely different mood from the gardens, and we love that about it.

These rooms have the dark wood, antique furniture, patterned fabrics and warm little corners that give the house its old-world feel. It is not polished into something brand new, and we would not want it to be. The character is already here.

We see couples use these rooms for quiet getting-ready moments, portraits, first looks and all of those in-between parts of the day that feel a little more intimate than the ceremony or reception.

And because the interiors are so rich on their own, they do not need much added to them. A dress, a bouquet and the house usually do plenty.

It is one of our favorite contrasts on the property: bright Florida gardens outside, darker historic rooms inside, and a completely different feeling depending on where you are standing.

This garden ceremony space is right in Downtown Orlando.

That is what catches people off guard about Dr. Phillips House. You are still close to downtown hotels, restaurants and everything your guests may need, but once you come through the gates, the setting feels completely different from the city around it.

The gardens, historic house and tucked-away layout create a ceremony experience that feels much more private than most people expect from a downtown address.

So yes, one of our favorite things about this property is also the thing people are usually most surprised by: this exists in Downtown Orlando.

Welcome back to Dr. Phillips House.

If you have followed us for a while, you probably know the historic house. You may know the gardens too. But there is a lot more happening here than what usually makes it into one pretty wedding photo.

Dr. Phillips House sits right in Downtown Orlando, but once you come through the gates, the property feels surprisingly tucked away. Couples can get ready here, move between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day, celebrate with food prepared by a team that already knows the property, and even stay overnight.

It is part historic home, part garden wedding venue, and part little escape in the middle of the city.

So, whether you have been here before or you are just finding us:
