Taking on the iconic A-frame architecture of the Contemporary Resort completely freehand—no straight edges, no rulers, just raw perspective, Crayola markers, and pan pastels! 🏰✨

Capturing those signature structural lines and receding angles all by eye is always a fun challenge, especially when blending marker tones and soft pastel washes to bring the lush Florida greenery and that whimsical floating Mickey balloon to life. Who else loves sketching on location around the property? 🖊️🎨

🎨 Another Event in the Books!

There is nothing quite like watching a quiet event turn into a full-blown lineup of excited guests!

For this gig, I made sure to arrive an hour early to get completely set up and ready to roll. While the hosts originally booked me for just two hours—thinking their guests might be too busy with other activities—the moment that very first caricature was finished, the line wrapped around the room.

I was absolutely thrilled to stay extra time to make sure everyone got to take home a piece of the fun. A massive thank you to the wonderful hosts for having me, being so accommodating, and sharing such a kind 5-star review.

I didn’t get this design done in time for the concert, but it was there in spirit. Walking into the Kaseya Center, I felt like a completely changed individual—there is a "before" and "after" the Tame Impala concert, and they are two different people. I was moved, I was entertained, I was dancing, I was shouting, and I was singing my heart out.

The night felt like destiny. I first discovered Kevin Parker’s music on my way to Colombia back in 2022, and it felt like a total full-circle moment when he mentioned Colombia from the stage tonight, especially with them playing in the World Cup at the same time. I’ve been patiently waiting to see him live for years, and finally crossing this off my bucket list was a dream come true. I feel truly blessed to have been there, and I adore him even more now.
