Big Announcement!
It is official, our venue has a name...Fringe ArtSpace!
After a lot of deliberation and discussion about what to call the space, we felt this name represented what we want for the future of the venue.

What Hispanic artists have inspired you?
I'm inspired by pre-Columbian culture, ancient music, and the different animals and guide spirits in the Hispanic culture.
What is your history with Fringe?
I participated in the Orlando fringe festival this year.
What has your experience been like as a Hispanic person in the arts?
There is a lack of knowledge about the Precolumbian culture, but there are a lot of people who are interested in learning about it.
How do you celebrate your Hispanic heritage?
I try to connect my pieces to the people and show them ancient techniques so they can appreciate and know more about them.

Big announcement from Fringe today --- It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Fringe announces the departure of Producing Artistic Director, Lindsay Taylor, effective September 16, 2022. We will miss her enthusiasm and tireless dedication to the Fringe organization but are excited to follow her as she begins the next chapter in her growing career.
Since stepping into her role in 2019, Lindsay has been instrumental in expanding Fringe’s impact, not just with artists and valued patrons, but within the entire Central Florida community. Some of her notable contributions include:
An almost indefatigable passion to keep performing arts alive and viable during the pandemic, curating remote programming options such as monthly online shows, and the creation of Digi-Fringe. These initiatives were all met with resounding success.
Fostering an environment allowing for increased diversity, equity & inclusion opportunities, inclusive of spearheading a 30% Amplified Voices expansion in the Fringe lottery.
Championing the exponential growth of accessibility in offerings by creating an audio description program and increasing ASL interpreted shows.
We are fortunate that Lindsay will remain with us to assist with the transition as we search for the best individual to continue to lead the artistic vision of the Orlando Fringe, as well as the new theatrical space at 54 West Church St. In the interim, Orlando Fringe is committed to a search with diversity, and inclusion as a core tenet, as we continue our work toward a more equitable theatrical community for all.
We thank you, Lindsay, for the passion and invaluable contributions you have brought to the organization. You will be missed by board, staff, artists, and volunteers!

In this unique show, a gallery artist will be interviewed about one of their pieces. This will inspire an improv show performed by some Fringe favorites. As they perform, the gallery artist will be creating a piece of art live, inspired by the improv scenes.

Play What You Can Stage (ticket purchase required)
Becca Koopferstock () will lead participants through a paint class of a colorful guitar! All supplies will be provided and a cocktail ticket will be given on arrival to the class (any age can paint, must be 21+ to drink alcohol). You’ll leave with a finished painting to take home.

Visual Fringe Event Spotlight: “Love is in the Air” Light show
May 22nd, 7pm-10:30pm
Play What You Can Stage
A Projection Mapping Installation dedicated to Love through the heart symbol. In times where there is worldwide crisis and social inequality, this installation reminds us that we need to reach back and find our love and heart to bring the light back.
The Projection Mapping concept and design is done by Richard Aponte (), in collaboration with Caia Diepenbrock (.diepenbrock), who designed the stylized hearts. The hearts were printed through sublimation on special fabric and will be set up as the main theme of the installation.
The art will come alive with multiple animations and effects, which will add an augmented reality feel through the Projection Mapping light.
